About M&G Foundation

The Shanghai M&G Foundation ("M&G Foundation") is a non-public fundraising foundation initiated by Shanghai M&G Stationery Inc. It was officially registered with the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau in September 2020. With the mission of "Empowering children's growth through quality education," M&G Foundation focuses on three major areas: Well-rounded education, social integration, and community development. M&G Foundation has launched a number of philanthropic projects, including the "Art Education Plan" program, the "Golden Seed Plan" education assistance program, and the Autism Support Program. As of the end of 2024, M&G Foundation had carried out educational philanthropy activities in 138 prefecture-level cities across 32 provinces in China, benefiting a total of 1.23 million person-times.

Children and adolescents are the future of the nation and the hope of the people. M&G Foundation is committed to the development of adolescents' diverse abilities and comprehensive qualities. Through aesthetic education and various other forms, it helps young people cultivate interests, explore their potential, and achieve well-rounded development in morality, intelligence, physique, aesthetics, and labor skills.

Every child has the right to participate equally in social life and to demonstrate their self-worth. By offering art creation training and developing charitable products for children with autism, M&G Foundation seeks to protect their dreams and potential, helping them better develop their skills and integrate into society.

As the basic unit of society, the community embodies people’s aspirations for a better life. M&G Foundation believes in the power of public participation and supports and encourages employee volunteers to start with those around them and their communities, creating warmth and positive energy through philanthropy.

"Art Education Plan" Program

In response to the Ministry of Education’s call for the "Aesthetic Education Infiltration Initiative," M&G Foundation has collaborated with enterprises, other foundations, universities, and institutions. By providing art kits, developing art lesson teaching plans, and organizing painting competitions, it aims to foster an ecosystem for rural children's aesthetic education.

A total of 250,000 art kits were donated
A total of 31 Creative Classrooms were established
Online training was provided to 14,000 rural teachers
Volunteer teachers teams from across 188 universities were supported
M&G Foundation’s art classes were delivered to 1,076 rural primary schools
Over one million instances of benefit were generated

"Golden Seed Plan" Education Assistance Program

"Golden Seed Plan" Education Assistance Program

To address the issue of children in underdeveloped areas lacking school supplies, M&G Foundation donates stationery kits to ensure that rural children do not lose their enthusiasm for learning due to material shortages, thereby supporting the development of rural education in China.

A total of 500,000 stationery kits were donated
Donation programs were implemented in over 50 cities spanning more than 30 provinces

Autism Support Program

Autism Support Program

By incorporating daily art creation into rehabilitation training, the program supports children with autism in releasing emotions, expressing thoughts, and opening their hearts through creativity. Outstanding artwork by such children is selected to be featured on the packaging of charitable products, with all sales profits donated to support the operation of the project. This creates a new model of philanthropy focused on teaching practical skills and promoting self-sufficiency over providing temporary aid.

A charitable product was included on the Shanghai Gold List Souvenirs and showcased at major exhibitions such as the China International Consumer Products Expo
The Autism Support Program drew more support for autistic children from other enterprises and social organizations

Community Development

Through a volunteer service reward system, employees are encouraged to participate in community philanthropic activities. For several consecutive years, employee volunteers have participated in diverse activities such as the "E.G.G Walkathon" charity walk, the "99 Giving Day" events, and the "M&G Forest" tree-planting program.
